How to reach the Faculty

The Faculty of Science of Education is situated very close to the University Hospital Reina Sofía, and opposite to the Blood Transfusion Centre. The bus stops and taxi ranks are next to the hospital, only 5 min from the faculty.

The city of Córdoba

The province of Córdoba, which is one out of eight provinces in the Community of Andalusia, has an area of 13.723,20 square kilometers, that represents 2,7% of the Spanish area, and it counts 750.000 inhabitants. All the centers from UCO are located in the capital, except the Polytechnic University, which is located in Belmez. With more than 310.000 inhabitants Córdoba is the third biggest city regarding its population. Geographically seen, it is situated in the middle of the Guadalquivir Valley, surrounded from the Sierra Morena in the North and the Campiña in the South. It is one of the most traditional agricultural zones in Andalusia.

 

The climate can be described as Mediterranean, with a hot and dry summer, and a cold and rainy winter. The annual average rainfall is 600mm3 from October to May.

 

How to reach the city of Córdoba

By airplane:

Even though Córdoba has an airport, it doesn't have regular flights. However, there are good connections to the airports of Malaga, Madrid or Seville.

 

By car:

From Madrid: Highway N-IV, 348 kilometer. Approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes. 

From Seville: Highway N-IV, 140 kilometer. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

From Málaga: Highway N-331, 161 kilometer. Approximately 2 hours. 

 

By train:

From Madrid: train AVE or Talgo. Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

From Sevilla: train AVE or Talgo. Approximately 40 minutes.

From Málaga: train AVE or Talgo. Approximately 50 minutes.

By Bus:

All Andalusian cities are connected through (Alsina Graells). Buses to Seville run hourly.
